Our First goBILDA Kit!
Our team has been meeting for 5 weeks. Today, our team learned how to set up a canopy, which resulted in lots of giggles from everyone. We just received our very first goBILDA kit, too, and to celebrate this, we also started filming our first YouTube video!
Setting Up the Canopy: Today, our canopy was also ready to be set up. We decided that it would be best if many people did it at once, and chaos erupted. On each end, we had a partner helping us push up the canopy. Eliana was in the middle, and she pushed up the middle. Together (amid the chaos and laughter), we got the canopy up and about, and so it was time for the walls. Same situation; chaos and laughter. The taller the people, the more they had to work! Many of us were tall, though, and we managed to successfully get the canopy, walls, and all, up. Finally, we set up the table, and it was time for us to pick a tablecloth. We picked the tight-fitting design so that it would look ~PROFESSIONAL~ and amazing.
Unboxing the Kit: This was hard. We kept laughing at the slightest of things while recording! For example, if Mrunali stared at Ishanvi or Eliana too hard, they would burst out in laughter, and we would have to re-film the clip!

Our Team Identity
Our team has been meeting for 4 weeks. We wanted a strong foundation for our team to grow. Our focus has been creating a team identity that matched our goals.
Picking a team name: This was hard. There are so many San Diego teams and finding something that would be different and still match our goals. Everyone in our team was just writing names on the board. Then it was crossing off ideas that wouldn't fit our team identity. We ended up with 3 names and had time to think them through, even asking our parents for their input. In the end we are team UNDEFINED. It's perfect since we have no idea where this team is going to go.
Picking team colors: Same problem, so many teams. How do we stand out in a crowd? Mrunali was throwing colors out there that the boys on the team didn't even know. It was funny looking up color palettes to explain what she was talking about. In the end we went LOUD. Mint green and pink, there is no way that isn't standing out. And surprise this is one of the San Diego Padre's uniform colors. This is a good way to represent the region without the extra work.
