05/25/26 - Scoops of Success & Next-Gen Prototypes

Mechanical Team - We kicked off the meeting on a high note by celebrating our successful library event with some ice cream before diving straight into a productive brainstorming session for the "Pick and Place Bio Buzz" challenge. After evaluating our options, we officially decided on a waterwheel design and immediately transitioned into the build phase by cutting plastic sheets to construct the floors and walls. We then began building the mounting structure for the hub, making great physical progress on the prototype. Moving forward, our next critical step is to get the robot fully wired, and the team is incredibly excited to power it up and begin testing the mechanism in action!

Programming Team - This week for the programming team, we started to figure out how to set up our control hub, and worked more on FTCSIM.org. Firstly, we got in contact with an FTC veteran willing to help us set up our control hub! Furthermore we went through the robot base presentation and the WeDo introduction and our team discovered two separate tutorials on how to set up the Control Hub! Secondly, We found a time estimate for completing FTCSIM.org and created a schedule for completing the tutorials. We also spent time going over the Undefined Pitch Deck, which we will be presenting soon. Lastly, we also went through a quick tutorial for the new coding site, WeDo.

Business Team - We continue working on our thank you presentation today. It’s the main priority so we will keep working on it so we can get some work in!
